On the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, the demand for leisure ports is huge .

local residents barely any marinas are offered .
Located on the Northwest is the port of Luperon , then in Puerto Plata there is (exept
from the commercial port) a private marina in the project Ocean World.
Then all along all the North Coast untill reaching Samana there is no
chance to go anchor, apart from a mini port (Laguna Gri Gri) with a max.
depth of 4 feet.
